Dr. Yen Tran, N.D. practices general Naturopathic Medicine utilizing botanical herbs, clinical nutrition, homeopathy, lifestyle counseling, nutritional supplements, and vitamins.

Working closely with her patients, Dr. Tran gets to the root of the problem and creates a treatment plan based on their unique pattern of illness. The goal is to help each patient achieve & maintain optimal health, and to prevent future disease.

Dr. Tran is a primary care, family practitioner, seeing patients as young as newborn babies through grandparents. She focuses on various health concerns such as:

    • Allergies and asthma
    • Chronic disease management
    • Gastrointestinal concerns
    • Hormone balancing

Additionally, she has a special interest in working with children and adults diagnosed with:

  • Autism
  • ADD

Education and Training:
Dr. Yen Tran holds a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) and is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor by the State of California. During her rigorous medical training at SCNM, she rotated with experts in Endocrinology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Weight Management, Drug & Detoxification Medicine, adjuvant Oncology care, and Homeopathy. She has trained with well respected naturopathic physicians: Dr. Stephen Messer, Dr. Eric Udell, Dr. Mona Morstein, Dr. Farra Swan, Dr. Leslie Axelrod, and Dr. Donese Worden.

Dr. Tran spent time as a preceptor at one of the most renowned oncology care hospitals in the United States; the Cancer Treatment Centers of America, the William Hitt Center, and Casa Clinica Nayarit Mexico.

Dr. Tran’s interest in medicine and healthcare started at the University of California, San Diego. During her undergraduate studies, she spent time at the VA Hospital and Thorton Hospital as a research assistant. Her diligence and curiosity led her to Sleep Medicine research and publications.

Currently, Dr. Tran enjoys a general primary care practice where she sees patients as young as 12 days to 90 years old. She focuses on various health concerns such as Allergies, Chronic disease management, Gastrointestinal concerns, and Hormone balancing. Additionally, She has a special interest in working with children and adults diagnosed with Autism, ADD, Allergies, and Asthma.

Dr. Tran believes that it is important to stay active in professional communities. Dr. Tran is a general board member on the executive board for nonprofit group Bay Area Birth Information (BABI). Also, Dr. Tran is a member of the legislative committee for the California Naturopathic Doctors Association (CNDA).

Dr. Tran is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, California Naturopathic Doctor Association (CNDA), and Bay Area Birth Information (BABI).

Dr. Tran grew up in the Bay Area California. In her spare time, she spends time with her husband, family, and friends. She loves spending time outdoors: cycling, hiking, and walking. Also, she has a passion for cooking and would love to publish a healthy cookbook in the future. Additionally, she loves to travel and explore new cultures. She hopes to travel the world every opportunity she can.
